Micah Graves – Head Coach
Micah Graves enters into his first season as the Head Coach of the Lexington Hustlers, as a young vibrant coach with experience at the NCAA, NJCAA, and NAIA levels. Graves also served as the Head Coach of the Marlins in the MSL (Metro Scout League) – Collegiate League during the Summer of 2014, where he led his team to the MSL- Collegiate League Championship Game. Graves is currently the Assistant Coach at Georgetown College (NAIA), where he coaches infielders, hitters, base running and serves as the team’s first base coach.
Prior to joining the coaching staff at Georgetown College, Graves was a former Assistant at Murray State College in Oklahoma (NJCAA div. II) where he served as the Infield and Hitting Coach. During the 2014 season at Murray State, Graves helped coach one of the most high-powered offenses in the NJCAA, leading the country in Home Runs (68), Extra Base Hits (204) and Total Bases (970). During the 2014 season, the Aggies were crowned regular season Conference Champions and went on to play in the Regional Championship game.
Prior to his stint at Murray State, Graves served as a Graduate Assistant & Volunteer Assistant at his Alma Mater, Tarleton State University (NCAA div. II), in Stephenville, TX. At Tarleton State, Graves served as the infield and base running coach and assisted with recruiting. During the 2013 season at Tarleton State, Graves was a part of the first Conference Championship in school history, winning the Lone Star Conference with a record of 21-7 in conference. Along the way, Graves helped lead the Tarleton State defense to a record setting season, with the most consecutive innings and most games played with no errors, and the highest fielding percentage in 23 years.
Prior to beginning his coaching career at Tarleton State University, Graves earned both his B.A. in Kinesiology in 2011 and his M.S. in Kinesiology- Athletic Administration in 2012, from Tarleton State University. Graves is from Garland, Texas and currently resides in Lexington, Kentucky.
