LEXINGTON, Ky.- The Lexington Hustlers and Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers have teamed up for the 2011 season, the team announced this week. Through the relationship, Raising Cane’s has become the ‘official chicken finger’ of the Lexington Hustlers, and will provide meals for players after some of the Hustlers’ home games.
Raising Cane’s, founded in Baton Rouge, Louisiana in 1996, specializes in ‘always fresh, never ever frozen’ chicken fingers, and is well-known for its signature special sauce. The restaurant has agreed to provide post-game meals for the Hustlers and their opponents after five of the Hustlers’ Saturday home games, which will be dubbed “Raising Cane’s Saturdays.”
“We’re thrilled Raising Cane’s on board with the Hustlers,” said general manager Adam Revelette, “in addition to providing great food, Raising Cane’s is very much committed to being active on our great community of Lexington.”
‘Raising Cane’s Saturdays’ are scheduled for June 18, June 25, July 9, July 16, and July 30.
There are currently three Raising Cane’s locations in Lexington: on campus at the University of Kentucky (544 South Upper Street), in Hamburg (2201 War Admiral Way), and at 2555 Nicholasville Road.
The Hustlers begin their season on June 7/8, with a matchup against the Kentucky Baseball Club; season tickets are now on sale.
